Its interesting you use a 20 year timeframe, look what the national debt has done during that time. Is the confidence in the US dollar going away right in front of our eyes? So does land have the same "value" as it did 20 years ago? I think one could argue it has changed with wind, solar, co2 etc but otherwise we are just discussing in what way should it be priced against a currency that is becoming very questionable. So really it has only been the last 20 years that the currency has come into question so does it really make sense to use prior metrics to measure its worth? Interesting thoughts from the peanut gallery
