S IL | So it seems primarily higher interest rates and low market prices from the global economic slowdown would cause land prices to go down. Secondarily higher real estate taxes and reduced government programs.
During an inflationary period land would probably increase as long as there is a functional lending process in existence.
If a person was able to predict a near term top of the land market and worried about the ongoing communist influence in the USA, my question would be should a person hold on to land (if retiring anyway) or sell and put into treasuries and crypto? You can probably guess I’m considering the latter. Curious if others were as concerned as me. | |
