That’s what I am afraid of. The 1930’s people were a much different people, not looking for handouts or “equality” in everything, nor were they expecting government to just hand out money. To 1891 what is your solution for the government borrowing more money for more social programs that haven’t worked very well at a time when government spending is increasing at a absolutely historic pace and also at a time that the interest on that debt is increasing. Governments talking about reparations when they are absolutely broke, taking on the social and economic repercussions of a border out of control, taxing the few that are producing even more ( let’s talk about all taxes, income, climate, sales tax, increased fees, etc) and than tell us that the debt is just fine? We are in absolute unchartered territory that is unprecedented.
Edit,this is not just a bunch of farmers talking, there are some pretty smart people on Wall Street that are concerned about our national debt and how we move forward. The old saying goes when you are in a hole, you have to stop digging. It seems like we are just getting more shovels
