Wow some folks need to put their ear to the ground ! good question poster, and you are paying attention to ask it. Fortunately for most on here they will be in ok shape with wealth in hard assets such as farmland... when you listen to the economic talking heads brainstorming on protecting wealth, along with precious metals/ bit coin and hard assets, farmland will always be mentioned. I have even heard Cattle and other commodities mentioned which was quite a surprise. The big change now days is the glaring absence of equities and commercial real estate. many learned people believe equities are in for a haircut off up to 40% ... who knows... one thing we do know is the cash cow that has been the stock market for years now is bloated and defying market realities. I don't share quite the concern you do on prices falling off a cliff, could be the opposite land values could hold well or increase over and above their ability to cash flow, just like a hunt club can drive a price above the lands ability to cash flow, land used as a safe haven protects land values and in the case of an outside investor opens up opportunities for working farmers to lease more land.
