It was a crap show in most of the ECB belt (here included) but nationally the crop was above trend and only 3 bu behind the new record set the previous year. Don’t get too much backyarditis.


I wasn’t making the comment that the whole corn belt was in bad shape. Was just making a comment that at the moment “here”it feels a little like 2015. But to be 2015 we would need 2 more months of rain. I personally don’t even remember what national yield was that year. I do remember having some 130 corn on 220 aph ground and some 230 corn on the same aph ground that drained well. We could still grow 250+. I’ve had some corn go over 250 planted the first week of June but had perfect weather the whole summer but we need to turn this thing around in the next few weeks.
