Boone Co. Iowa | I got 3/4 of my corn in early. Talked to farmer yesterday who said what I was thinking....which was the ones in the bag have gotten same heat units as the ones in the field.
Got 1.1 inches last night. Soils are completely saturated.
Going to need to use the 8 row 3 point corn planter I got a few years ago for ponds.....for ponds....
Anyway, way wetter spring than we have had in a long time.
50% changes of rain next 2 days.....based on the pattern, I figure 2 weeks before we get a chance to get back into fields to finish planting....
Sun and heat will make me feel a little better..... | |
