Southwest Illinois
It sure is frustrating. But a guy I bought some seed from for years, who has since passed, always said if you have to work to get a crop in you will have to work at harvest to get it out. By and large that has held true. Most years that we have had wet springs seemingly have produced at least near or above crops. 2023 maybe the only year I remember such an easy spring with good yields. 2012 was also an easy spring and we know how that ended. Looking passed 5 or 6 days in a weather forecast can best be described as a guess at best. If it were the 7th of June I would be getting excited, 7th of May, not so much. Plus whiskey helps.
