Easy with the drama. All of what you said has happened before and will again. And the 2 week out forecast is useless to use. And no 1/2" doesn't make stuff look like a mess.
1.1 inch Saturday afternoon, most of it coming in the first 15 minutes on top of already wet ground, followed by 1/2 inch this morning (in 30 minutes) sure looked like a mess to me, still does now too.
