My mom and dad were in the chicken biz.They raised eggs on contract.The flock would change about every year.One stretch they raised leghorns,friggers could fly.Seen more than a few head for the fans and became headless instantly.Mom would kill a bunch for the freezer every new flock.The scrawny leghorns were not very pretty on the dinner table.I am thinking you heard Capon.
