| In 2019 there were 92 million users. If we follow your theory, we should have a majority of the general public, perhaps 50 million, clamoring to change the statin prescription do to side effects. That is not the case. The vast majority of people have no side effects and don’t go on social media announcing they don’t have side effects. But the relatively small percentage that do have a painful side effect let their voice be heard loudly through social media. When researching a drug through social media, this distorts the perception that the drug has severe side effects.
The self fulfilling prophecy of statins will cause you pain and not help, is verified in one’s mind when that is the information they seek out on the internet. | |
