That said, proper weld will be through the whole wall thickness so no weld on inside needed!
It’ll help that you have a heavy wall fitting to play the arc against and only grab the thinner tank steel part of the time. At least that’s how I would describe what I would do. TIG would be best.
Would having the fitting flush on the inside help clean out or are you installing a sparge line in there or agitation nozzle etc? | |
