| At the rick of upsetting people, and not having a dog in the fight, just having to work on many, current offering: the Isuzu and International engines have had a lot of issues, and no solutions. The newer big block Ford has been good so far, the 6.0 and 6.6 GM, and 5.4 Ford have lots of problems. Fiat has some decent offering, all old engines. Engines and transmissions suffer from too many government created problems.
Two places to inquire; independent repair shops, and salvage yards. There are engines impossible to find. Look at the prices and availability at rebuilders like Jasper. Ten grand for a new 4 banger from the OEM! | |
