I would also add/ask, are you running long distances or short trips?
The diesels that last the longest and tend to have the fewest issues, especially with regens are those that are ran long and hard. The newer gassers seem to keep up quite well with much less maintenance costs and an emissions system that doesn't usually put up a fuss.
