Controversial topic. I know… But I’d like to hear others experiences. How difficult is it to get financing to purchase cows and where would you recommend checking into?
I have some non-ag debt, good credit, make good money with a full time job, have cash to put 20% down on the amount I’m looking to buy, and am planning to stay in for the long haul.
Yes I understand that interest rates are far from ideal, and financing livestock is risky. I just want to understand what all it takes to get approved and how strict they are with this type of loan.
Dunno about there but here - - - - 20% down - - - you need significant other farm assets - - - all of which they would tie up.
Here they were looking down their noses at 20% - - - actually expected over 40% - - - which was nuts!!! |
