| Do the “poorer” cattle next to yours affect the quality of the meat off your critter? It’s fairly common practice around here to take in the oddball, frozen eared, or poor disposition stock to put in the freezer. They’re all pink on the inside, as long as they’ve been on a good finishing ration the last 90 days they taste just as good as the CAB steer next to them. The underfinished deal I don’t know about, but would guess if it was for resale, they are grassfed. Wouldn’t be my choice of finish, but not my money either so to each their own. | |
