Ford860,I am quite aware of ticks and closely monitor my body most every night before a shower.I still got the diseases as some I missed ,,you have ticks in the area and if you have any deer then you will find Lyme eventually.Crazy amount of issues here .People who rarely go outside.Lots of waste land ,lots of deer,lots of field mice,(alt hosts)very moist eco system,buggers will move at 28 degrees F....Did it originate as part of the insect research on the island off from Lyme CT,,,well they were breeding disease in ticks to release on enemy combatants so it does seem very plausible .
