Virginia, Northern Neck | We pile all the light scrap into a junk car body, and crush it down.
When it won't hold anymore, we have it hauled away.
We keep heavy scrap (old implements, hydraulic cylinders, brake drums) in a separate pile.
Hoping someday the heavy scrap might be worth hauling, either by us or others.
It is 15 miles to our legacy scrap yard - steel, aluminum, copper, etc.
Just last week, an auto wrecking yard 4 miles away started buying scrap.
