Athens, TX | We worked our calves today, found one dead in the pen when we went to turn out. It was a heifer. We gave Vision 7 with Bovis, Brovoculi, and Bovishield Gold. She was about 2 month old. I assume vaccine reaction. We vaccinate about 300 calves a year and have not had this happen before. I know some keep Epinephrine on hand. Is it likely to be able to give Epi and save one having a reaction, or is it pretty much a fatal thing and not worth keeping it? Can you give Epi SQ for this or does it have to be given IV to be effective for this situation? Anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any advice. | |
