Alberta | Told by a vet that anything over 1 month premature is hard to keep them alive because their lungs are not developed enough to survive. Have had a few "healthy" calves at 8 months and chances of living are about 50 percent. I give them antibiotics right away to fight off pneumonia as well as an anti inflammatory or Dex if they have any problems breathing. As well have to keep them in a warm dry place. | |
