NEMO | 7 months is stretching it, 7 1/2 is a go. On AI hfs using low BW bulls on keeper hfs that have a shot or 2 of low BW in them, we start seeing the anomaly of the first calf being 40+ days early on the gestation chart. When it does happen, those calves are generally 60 lb +/- and appear normal. It may be 10 days before the next calf comes, which is still early, but it happens. Often low BW also translates to short gestation not just lighter calves.
