Subject: hydraulic flow switch reliability

NW KS
How reliable are hydraulic flow switches for overriding auto steer systems? I am wondering how long they would hold up since every time you move the wheel the flow switch is likely moving also. It would take more time to put together but I could also uses a hall effect sensor on the steering wheel with some magnets. I am wondering if the hall effect might be more reliable.
