Subject: RE: Favorite Tool Kit Carry With In Tractor

Pilot Grove, Missouri
I usually start with a set of wrenches in a roll-up bag going up to 1" or 1 1/16" or 1 1/18". Then add vice grips, pliers, claw hammer (so the box lid will shut), 2 or 3 adjustable wrenches, a few screw drivers, a punch, a tiny can of spray lube, some zip-ties, a few hitch pin clips and at least one hitch pin for the stuff usually pulled with it. This is for Allis D17, 180/185 sized standard tool boxes.

On my Allis 8030 I have a K&M #30 tool box so it has a fair amount more room to add bigger hammers, allen wrenches, more hitch pins, more screwdrivers, more pliers, multiple snap on hydraulic cylinder stops, a few bolts, a few shop rags, etc. I actually don't have any socket sets in my tractor tool box kits. I could easily fit one in the 8030.
