If you can make it dark inside they won’t build nests or roost. Thfew that get left in when the doors are closed will be so glad when the doors open that they fly out and never return.
The last shed I built doesn’t have sky lights and I don’t have birds.

If a cat is around make a way for it to get up in the rafters so it can eat the eggs or little birds. After couple years no birds.
In my case raccoons raided the nests and I hade the same results.
