West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | One day late in May back in 1981 I got home from the last day of HS and about an hour later I was on my way to Enid, OK in pickup with another I guy I had never met before. We left a about a week or two later in 1982.
In 1982 I drove a 1973 R model Mack with a 273, 5 speed, air steering, and 20' box pulling a brand new 7720 behind and a 24' head in the box down to Enid. I bought a Kodak pocket camera at a Hardware store in Wauneta NE one rainy morning...how I wish I would have had a camera phone back then.
