NE Iowa | That’s a proud moment for sure!!!
When I was 8 or 9 I watched my grandpa but a bearing in a gauge wheel for his planter. We put one or two together and he had to leave the arm for a meeting. He told me he’d be back later and we would finish the job. I just kept at it and finished the bearings and put the wheels back on the planter. I was gone when he got back but he was quite the proud grandpa. When he passed away a few years later my grandma told me that he talked about me putting those wheels together for a long time and how helpful he thought I was.
