Central Illinois | Our daughter bought a new Cross Trek in 2018. Great little car but it had lots of road noise. As time went on the road noise got louder. I told her the wheel bearings on the front axle were going out. (I have had experience with Chevy Impala's wheel bearings going out and the noise was similar.) I kept insisting she get the noise checked out before the warranty was up. She had it to the dealer but they did not do anything to it. Finally she had the service department pickup her car and drive it into the shop. The mechanic heard the noise and turned out to be the front trans axle. They did warranty the work. The car was good to go after that repair.
She has since traded up to a Forester preparing for the possibility of children. No problems with the Forester. | |
