I'm thinking it has something to do with the seedstar monitor/controller. I'm noticing it only does this (I think) when you start up and the 2630 does not load the seed monitor. It will say controller not available. Then if I shut the tractor off and reboot, so that the monitor loads up, then it doesn't do the errant recording thing.
