NE Iowa | I have have been grazing rye since April 9th here in NE Iowa. I don't see the the need to rotate either. If you stock at the right rate they just seems to go over the whole field clipping the top couple inches off. I could probably use a few more head but the whole field is about 12" tall right now. Mine are drinking out of a stock tank and a neighbor texted me that on his way home from work last night (second shift) there was a huge black bear trying to drink out of the tank. But everyone was where they should be and electric fence still working this morning. | |
