Subject: RE: On owning a Tesla

Valley, NE
I could make an EV work on my my family's lifestyle, but only as an assessory vehicle. It would solely be used to commute back and forth to work or into town for school for the kids. Work is about 40ish miles round trip and school is 14ish round trip. Of course this would be about 36 weeks of the year, outside the cold weather seasons and the mud road month when the frost goes out since we dont live on a concrete road. I wouldn't think about taking it for a long range trip across the country, and i wouldn't think about taking it on vacation. I'm a destination guy, not the road trip guy, so sitting for a hour to recharge vs 5-10 mins to fuel up and get back on road wouldn't work.

So......with the hefty price tag of an EV, i think i'll just stick with my fuel gusseling diesel pickups, even the one with the fuel gauge broken........that gives me anxiety when it starts getting 300 miles on that tank
