Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Our 7700 was one of the early models. It had this problem. Deere didn't feel it was necessary to be able to grease the upper rockshaft. Our local former Deere Tech installed some grease zerks on ours and might have changed the seals (long ago, don't remember). Anyway that cured the problem. I believe Deere started installing grease zerks in the newer ones at the factory.
Prior to this we were able to get the arms to lower by putting some weight on the arms. Sometimes just hanging on the quick coupler was enough, other times it took more weight. |
