I understand there are parts of this country maybe not getting as much rain as they wish or can’t plant because of all the moisture. But assuming your farm can start getting some chances to plant next week and the spicket shuts off how far will the moisture you have take you without really being too concerned?

For myself I say 4th of July. If we stay dry and get everything in and go to the dryer side we will drive roots straight down making for a great situation for later this summer and fall.

What say you?

Around here, the early spring can be very dry. Then comes June, which is our wettest month, and it usually gives us enough moisture to give the crops a good start. July usually starts out wet, but by August it can be dry again, and that's what determines our yield. In school, they told us that we get less yearly rainfall here than the Sahara desert, but we usually get it at the right time.
