central - east central Minnesota -

lklein2 - 5/8/2024 22:45 I'm wondering what a good product is to mix with your water when washing equipment to help prevent rust ?

I use a product called "Salt Sheild" from Ver-Tech in Rockford Mn. They are a commercial car/truck wash lab/company. Our use is on township plow trucks and other equipment of the Town. It neutralizes the rust (acid + alkali /base = natural). I believe in it. It is our daily soap for the pressure washer when washing. I do not cut it - use it as is in a foam cannon, then rinse. I do believe, the more it's used the more of a film is deposited on the metal parts to sort of cause a "pre-treat" type condition. Give them a call and talk with one of their tech's . . . .
