Subject: RE: Storing gas

Central Iowa
I would think it would be OK for 6-8weeks. But I would treat it with 2 stroke oil. I read on a snowmobile forum years ago from a guy that was in charge of the maintenance on a fleet of 500 vehicles. He was tasked with finding a cure for fuel related problems. He found that regular(not synthetic) 2 stroke oil kept fuel "fresh" longer and significantly reduced their fuel related issues. Rate was 1 oz to 10 gallons. I do it since it seems like cheap insurance.
