I’d question if it really makes a difference. Yes traders make money when it moves, but numerous small moves could provide the same movement as less bigger moves. Also you have the human psychology factor- in that marketers know how humans have traded for years - that’s why charting and pattern chasing makes sense - because those are repeatable event, because of our humanity. Once ai takes hold it will knowingly resist these patterns, allowing it to “outthink” us- because no emotions are involved.

Realistically how far are we from these computers being able to use all the data (satellite images, rainfall data, heat units) and spit out a national yield within 2 bpa of final yield, using real time consumption rates factor stocks on hand and adjust pricing accordingly- I’d guess 10 years?
