Subject: The Oreo cookie and cholesterol lowering study

Pittsburg, Kansas

I linked to this first video somewhere back in a previous thread. It is provocative. Nick did an update video on the subject of lowering LDL cholesterol comparing a statin drug to Oreo cookie diet change. The results are quite provocative. The second link is an update on the experiment.

Just a technical point............ LDL is not actually cholesterol. It is a lipoprotein. It is a carrier of not only cholesterol but also other lipids (fats). Glucose is water based. It can be carried in the blood readily. Fats on the other hand do not mix well with water. They require a carrier to transport them to where they are needed for energy and other uses. Think of LDL as a boat carrying cargo in a river of blood. But I digress.........
