2006 and later have the better cast row units. Somewhere around 2012 they put an electrical box on the frame to house the brains modules. I have a 2006 Db80 to plant corn and a 2009 Db90 to plant soybeans . Have not welded on the frame of either one and have to be pulled out the mud a fair number of times . Pretty impressive planters.
