Subject: RE: Cfx 750 swap to FMX?

Paxton, IL
I’ve made a short adapter for the power cable to power an FMX with a 750 power cable. The FMX just uses a 4 pin instead of the 6 pin deutsch connector. I don’t remember what the other 2 pins were for the 750, but they weren’t used at least in my application.

As far as field iq setup is concerned, I could be wrong, but I think you’d have to reconfigure everything. If I remember correctly, the 750 stored all its settings as one large configuration for the application. The FMX uses a system/vehicle/implement hierarchy to save and mix and match profiles. Maybe they are saved the same in the background, but that would probably be too easy for something Trimble designed.

If all else fails, you could write down all the settings in the 750 and figure out where they go in the FMX, but they’re really 2 different animals when it comes to navigating through the settings.
