Stevehin,I have hired the blown in thats sort of like cotton balls.they did walls and attic.Excellent but costly for me as I am a DIY person.Bats I would use Roxul.Pee on the pink itchy air filter stuff,IMO.But costs is less to go to your local big box,rent a grinder /blower and dump the bales they sell of either cellulose or spun fiber,100 ft hose and crawl up their and let her rip.Takes 2 people.One cutting bags ,and one in the attic,your wife will hate you if she is up in the attic.I had a project and the blower was free as I bought a certain amount of bags.I have a plan on another attic this fall.I priced it from a contractor here,,,8 months out ..3 x the DIY price.My fall off days will be in a dusty attic.It is no lifting ,just wear goggles and mask.
