There must have been 100 buyers at Saturday's hay auction, maybe half of them Amish. Obviously a lot of folks around here in need of hay. That's why I only bought 8 large bales of very good first crop shedded grass hay.  Fellow standing next to me at the auction and I were musing that at these prices maybe we should sell the cows and sell hay instead of calves. Maybe haul it too.
