Subject: Shop and barn as one big building

My wife and I are needing a bigger place. Considering rebuilding on the corner of one of our pastures or circles. House, shop, barn, feedlot pens and corrals. We had wondered about tacking on an extra 75 feet to the pole barn for the shop building. Instead of having 2 separate buildings with different plumbing, water lines and electrical. Would be handy as hell to calve and lamb inside and push someone threw a roll up door over to the headed shop side in an emergency. Have any of you built a setup like this? Looking for pros and cons. Shop might smell like manure but what doesn’t!! No trees in this part of the country so would be a nice long windbreak
